Our Company
The Sposeto brothers, originally emigrated from Italy in the early 1900’s, and came to Oakland, Ca. in the 1930’s. Drawn to pre-World War II California to work on various construction sites such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Kaiser Ship building, and the University of California gardens, they each formed their own construction companies which continue today through their descendants.
Sposeto Engineering, Inc. was created by Samuel A. Sposeto, son of Patrick Sposeto in 1970. This construction company was established as a concrete specialty performing all types of construction including, commercial, residential, and public works.
John P. Sposeto, our current President and Sam’s son, is continuing the family legacy and leading this company to new heights with a versatility of involvement in design-build projects. Working closely with architects, engineers, and public works administrators, we are developing projects that are cost effective, aesthetic, environmentally sensitive, and enhancing the communities in which we work.
